Homeware

Coniston Stonecraft make the most exquisite slate homeware. Each piece of slate we use is completely unique and selected by eye for its natural hues, markings and veins. Our experienced team of stone craftspeople are experts at crafting stunning natural slate items for your home that showcase the best of our local Cumbrian slate.

We design and make all our slate crafts in our workshop in Coniston, Lake District, inspired by the natural landscapes around us. We use Westmorland Green Slate for many of our products as it a firm favourite of both our artisans and our customers. This beautiful stone is carefully crafted into anything from a free-standing wine rack to letter racks, slate clocks to slate tealight holders, book ends and unique lamps.

Our tall wine rack is made from Westmorland Green slate and both fits 10 bottles of wine and is guaranteed to make an impact on visitors to your home. We make a small wine rack too which can fit 3 or 6 bottles, or something in between suited to 8 bottles. Each piece is crafted by hand to showcase the unique patterns in the slate.

The homeware range we make also includes lovely slate clocks. Choose either a slate mantel clock or a slate wall clock and we have various designs and hues available. Our contemporary kitchen wall clock design is modern and minimal or check out our local Cumbrian dialect wall clock which is an education in our regional nuances.

Our team use local slate to make minimalist unique lamps too suitable for use as an attractive desk lamp, bedside lamp, table lamp or floor lamp. The slabs of slate we use are generally quite rustic and hide the electrics cleverly inside the core of the slate.

We’re passionate about the slate we use, so if you have a design idea in mind, get in touch and let us bring your vision to life.
